Cadet college inaugurated in Swat
Swat: Commander Operation Rah-e-Raast, Major General Ashfaq Nadeem said Monday that reconstruction of schools damaged due to militancy and floods was underway and up till now 100 schools have been completed on modern and scientific lines.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Swat Cadet College at Odigram here, the general said the schools were being reconstructed on scientific and modern lines and underlined the need for equipping students with ornament of science and technology education to fulfill the challenges of modern age. He said that Swat was on road to progress and development and special focus were being given on education and health infrastructure.
Swat Cadet College would go a long way for providing better educational facilities and environment to prepare students of tough challenges, Gen Ashfaq remarked. The terrorists had destroyed schools in a bid to keep the youth illiterate and ignorant. He said that without education the dream of progress could not be materialized. Senior military officers and educationists were also present on the occasion.
