GCU orator leads team to India
Lahore: Government College University orator Isha Tariq is leading a five-member Pakistani delegation to Udaipur, India to attend the 16th International Youth Festival. As many as 200 students from various Asian and Saarc countries would showcase their culture by taking part in competitions like cooking, debates, paintings, drawing, slogan-writing etc.
Lahore: Government College University orator Isha Tariq is leading a five-member Pakistani delegation to Udaipur, India to attend the 16th International Youth Festival. As many as 200 students from various Asian and Saarc countries would showcase their culture by taking part in competitions like cooking, debates, paintings, drawing, slogan-writing etc.
The five member Pakistani delegation would spend one week in India and optimize the Pakistani culture on the Indian soil. Isha Tariq is the editor of the GCU literary magazine The Ravi for the year 2010-2011. She has been the topper in the first three academic years of BSc (Hons) Physics.
Talking to media before her departure to India, Isha Tariq said GCU is the only 147-year-old institution in Pakistan which takes pride in grooming Hindus and Muslims who rose to become noble laureates, men of letters and sportsmen both in India and Pakistan. Isha Tariq said she would like to bridge the gulf prevalent between the two countries through individual interaction among the youth of two counties.
