Girls outshine boys in RBISE HSSC exams
Rawalpindi, Sep 06: Girls surpassed boys by securing top positions in all groups except pre-engineering in the intermediate examinations as Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) announced results of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) annual examinations 2010 on Saturday.
Total 55,902 candidates appeared in the examinations of whom 27,710 students including 9,302 male and 18,408 female candidates were declared successful with ratio of success remaining 49.67 percent.
As per results, 691 students got ‘A+’ grade, 2,283 received ‘A’ grade, 6,791 ‘B’ grade, 11,513 ‘C’ Grade, 6,241 students ‘D’ grade, while 276 students were awarded ‘E’ Grade.
Kalsoom Ejaz (Roll No 711493) from Punjab College for Information Technology stood first in the board by securing 1017 marks out of the total 1100, while Qazi Maaz Hussain (Roll No 721978) from Punjab College of Information Technology and Zartash Ahmed from Cadet College, Hassanabdal together shared the second position by obtaining 1015 marks each. Aneesur Rehman (Roll No 710325) from Military College Jehlum clinched third position by securing 1008 marks.
Kulsoom Ejaz from Punjab College for Information Technology topped the pre-medical group by obtaining 1017 marks. Qazi Maaz Hussain from Punjab College of Information Technology and Zartash Ahmed from Cadet College, Hassanabdal together shared the second position by securing 1015 marks. Muhammad Ahmed Sohail from Cadet College, Hassanabdal got 999 marks and stood third in the group.
In the pre-engineering group, Aneesur Rehman (Roll No 710325) from Military College Jehlum got 1008 marks and stood first in the group. Muhammad Adnan (Roll No 710344) from the same college got second position by securing 999 marks. Abdul Hameed (Roll No 707372) from Kalar Kahar Science Higher Secondary School and Naeem Iqbal (Roll No 707378) from the same institution shared the third position with their tally reaching up to 996.
In the Commerce Group, Sania Fida (Roll No 713200) from Punjab College of Information Technology stood first by obtaining 959 marks. Rubab Anjum (Roll No 713245) from the same college clinched the second position by obtaining 942 marks, while Sharmeen Babar (Roll No 713220) also from the same institution stood third by getting 938 marks.
Wasfa Anjum (Roll No 711566) topped the General Science Group by getting 958 marks. Sadia Asghar (Roll No 718942) got 957 marks and clinched second position, while Adeel Ahsan (Roll No 727223) remained third in the group by securing 947 marks. All three belonged to Punjab College of Information Technology
In the humanities group, Irum Fatima (Roll No 737880) got first position by securing 914 marks. Shaheen Sultana obtained 913 marks and remained second in the group, while Kashif Jamshed (Roll No 731285) and Mahwish Saeed (Roll No 703577) from Community Model Girls Higher Secondary School, Chakwal shared the third position by getting 903 marks.
